In 2006-2007, MU undergraduate
students received over $59,000,000 in scholarship aid,
both internal and external.
While you will automatically be considered for some
academic scholarship programs such as Curators Scholars
Award, Excellence Award and the Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship, many
University general and departmental scholarships require an application.
If you are an entering
freshman, complete the "Scholarship
Application for Entering Freshmen Students" which
is found in the MU Admission's application
packet or you can complete the "Scholarship
Application for Entering Freshmen Students" online.
The application must be postmarked or submitted by December
1, 2007 to insure priority consideration
for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Remember that many of our scholarships
are based on financial need as well as academic achievement.
Financial
need is determined by the results of the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The 2008-2009 FAFSA will be available on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ after January 1, 2008. You must complete the FAFSA by March 1, 2008 to receive priority funding consideration by MU.
